We invite contributors to share their insights with our readers to supplement our reporting. We aim for ideas that are constructive and reflect a diversity of views that contribute to public discourse.
Insights may include narratives exploring an author’s observations or thoughts based on personal experience, research, and opinion. These pieces are not necessarily neutral positions of fact, but offer the contributor’s interpretations and judgments of facts, data, and events. Views must be grounded in evidence.
Contributors speak for themselves and may express opinions contrary to the views of the IJB or the University of Toronto, subject to the rights and responsibilities of fair comment. These contributions must be respectful and will be clearly labelled as GUEST OPINION.
Conflicts of interest must be declared by contributors and featured prominently in the contribution.
